That was the longest the power company had ever left us without electrons.

I am

dead in the water until I get funding for a new power supply. and while I can’t guarantee that a new PSU will work, its better than just sitting here.

I might be on a shoestring

Budget wise, but I’m guessing (with the education that 40 years brings you) that my power supply popped a cap. I can get a 600w psu replacement for ~$45 for a white label thermaltake PSU.

The only problem is I have to hope the PSU didn’t take any components out.

So I’m guessing

it was a capacitor in the computer’s psu.

i’m off to look or replacements. Hopefully I can in an adequate one or < 50 American dollars.

of course since I’m guessing it could be a waste of money, but to that I’ll say look up ‘my computer popped and won’t turn on’ on youtube.
